The 2K22 Tunguska is a self-propelled anti-aircraft weapon system in service with the Russian Army since 1982.  Developed and manufactured by Ulyanovsk Mechanical Factory, it consists of two 30-mm 2A38M anti-aircraft auto cannons, eight 9M311 surface-to-air missiles, and an alert and tracking radar mounted on the GM-352 tracked chassis, which is powered by a 750 hp, V-46-6MS multifuel, liquid-cooled diesel engine.

The 2K22 Tanguska was designed to shoot down ground-attack enemy aircraft and air-to-ground missiles. It can also be used against armored ground target. This weapon system automatic guns have an effective range of approximately 3,000 m, while its missiles can hit targets situated at 5 miles away, such as helicopters and low-flying aircraft. The vehicle has an operational range of 500 km and a speed of 65 km/h.
