Based on the Scorpion chassis, the Sabre was armed with 30mm L21 RARDEN gun, which was mounted on a low-profile turret, that was also used on the Fox reconnaissance vehicle. Its armament also included a 7.62mm co-axial machine gun and grenade launchers. The 30mm cannon of the Sabre fired High Explosive and armor-piercing ammunition.
