FN Five Seven

The FN Five Seven is a single-action, 5.7mm pistol developed in Belgium by Fabrique National Herstal and produced since 2000. It is presently in service with European and American police forces. Since the pistol frame and slide are made of polymer, it is a very light sidearm, equipped with an ambidextrous safety switch located right above the trigger. The FN Five Seven is fitted with a 12.2-cm-long steel barrel, which features 8 right-hand-twisted rifling grooves. Although it shoots a small-caliber cartridge, the FN 5.7x28mm ammunition has an ogive-shaped, rifle-like spitzer bullet, which is imparted a very high speed with a long range. As a result, it can do a lot of damage to soft body tissue. This pistol also features a rail for tactical flashlight or laser pointer. Not only is the FN Five Seven a light handgun, with a very light recoil, but it is also very accurate and dependable.
